Latest: Australian Gas Turbine Conference 2017

With more speakers and events being confirmed all the time, this years Australian Gas Turbines Conference looks like its going to be fantastic! Here are a few things to look forward to:

What you need to know about the new filter classification ISO 16890

In November 2016, The International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) published the ISO 16890 as a valid new standard for the testing and classification of air filters, which replaces the previous EN 779 and ASHRE 52.2 standard after an 18 months transition period.

We reached out to Michael Mueller, Managing Director of Freudenberg Filtration Technologies (AUST) Pty Ltd to gain a better insight into the new ISO 16890 standard and learn more about his upcoming presentation at the Australian Gas Turbines Conference on 29-30 November 2017. Read more.

18th Annual Australian Gas Turbine Conference

Will you be at this years Australian Gas Turbines Conference?  Rochem’s Managing Director Martin Howarth will be presenting at this years conference, sharing his knowledge and expertise on  the Benefits & Best Practices for Gas Turbine and Centrifugal Compressor Cleaning.

It has been a good year for Rochem so far with Martin speaking at a number of conferences including NexTurbine in Wuxi, China as well as Asia Power Week in Bangkok, Thailand more recently. Rochem Supporting Military Veterans at Armstrong Charity Golf Event.

Armstong Energy hosted a charity golfing event to benefit the Wounded Warrior military chairity. Teams were divided into Team red, white, blue and a team for Disabled American Veterans. The event was a fantastic success and one which Rochem are proud to be a part of.

Wounded Warrior serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service. With a focus on serving those wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. To find out more about their work click here.

Bespoke Training Package: Process Compressors

Exciting collaboration with Alpha Bravo Aero Solutions

Rochem Aviation are to enter into a partenership with Alpha Bravo Aero Solutions and become the first to provide a mobile engine washing system.

Alpha Bravo Aero Solutions, which provides aircraft deicing and cleaning services, is expanding into engine washes through a partnership it forged with Rochem Aviation. On June 1, it signed an agreement with Rochem to lease one if its Ro-Jet-Wash systems at ap&m.

This marks “our first mobile services in the world,” says Steven Jones, Rochem’s president.

Alpha Bravo will base the jet engine washing system at London Gatwick and could expand the service per customer demand, says Richard Gross, the company’s managing director.

Like other systems, the engine wash system is designed to improve engine gas temperature margins and improve fuel efficiency (Ro-Jet-Wash is designed to reduce fuel burn 1-1.5% per year). Unique features of Rochem’s system are that it doesn’t attach to the aircraft and it uses a patented atomizing system so less water is needed, says Jones.

Rochem, which received a U.S. patent for its jet wash system technology on Sept.  7, 2016, has sold its systems to Americana Airlines, Spirit and Icelandair so far, says Jones.

Rochem at the 6th Annual NexTurbine Conference.

Rochem attended the 6th annual NexTurbine exhibition in Wuxi, China last week. The summit is widely recognised and praised by the core-practitioners of domestic and foreign gas turbine use, whether it is the number of participants in the gas turbine manufacturers and users, the level of participants, the level of internationalisation, the agenda innovation and the experience of participants. It did not disappoint.

From Rochem’s perspective the event was an absolute success. Providing us with a platform from which to present our services to new markets. Our Fyrewash systems, chemicals and other services were highlighted as examples, for their innovation, efficiency and reliability.  Further success was illustrated by our managing director, Martin Howarth being selected for the panel in a question and answer session alongside other key industry players.

This event is one not to be missed in the future.
